Room was clean and view was nice from the windows
Location was close to the peace park and boat direct to Miyajima Island. Rooftop bar was a great place to enjoy a night cap. Restaurant was good for breakfast and dinner with a great ambience. One of the best all round hotels we stayed at in Japan

The staff of this hotel will go above and beyond to make you feel at home. Not only they handled the delivery of our luggages smoothly but they gave us complementary umbrellas to walk in the city (as it was raining). The staff can also keep an eye on your belongings after you check out, which was very good for us, as we had our train in the afternoon. The room was very clean and comfortable. 10/10 would recommend.

It is nice modern hotel, perfectly located close to the station, which doubles as a transport hub, so it is easy to get anywhere. Plenty of nice food outlets nearby (many in the station complex). We loved their real coffee, not instant like in many other places.

Although one of the lesser known tourist destinations in Japan, Hiroshima has its own unique charm. History buffs can experience the Peace Memorial, whilst foodies get the opportunity to sample Hiroshima's famed Okonomiyaki and their delicious oysters! There's also some great shopping options that offer items you won't find in Tokyo, Osaka or Kyoto. Definitely recommend adding Hiroshima to your Japan itinerary!

A 3 night stay was, in my opinion, the perfect length to see everything in Hiroshima city (Mainly the castle and peace garden), as well as offering the option to travel to Miyajima for a day. There is a tram which costs only 300 yen to get to ferry port (Miyajima-guchi) to get over to the island. I can also very much recommend trying out Hiroshima style Okonomiyaki from any shop in the Okonomimura, as well as the Hirsohima Style Tantanmen from any shop; you wont be disappointed.

Stayed in Hiroshima for 2 nights.
Stayed in Hiroshima for 2 nights. Did a day trip to Miyajima Island which we absolutely loved and would highly recommend to everyone travelling to Hiroshima. Spent another day sightseeing on a 3 hour bike tour booked via Viator. A wonderful tour which we would encourage others to do as well. Stumbled upon Okonomimura aka Okonomiyaki Village which we went to both nights for a tasty meal. Loved the city and definitely worth travelling to.

You should stay more than 1 night in Hiroshima, atleast 2 days, better 3 days.
So you have enough time to explore everything.
Compared to other cities, hiroshima is way more modern and is less traditionalthan kyoto for example. But thaths why it is so nice to see, it is different than other locations in Japan.

This is a city of great historical importance and I felt humbled by the way the people of Japan and citizens of Hiroshima have rebuilt this city devastated by nuclear bomb. It was deeply painful to visit The Hall of Remembrance and see and hear a choir of school children singing near Children's Peace Monument. Those who are rattling nuclear sabres today should remember Hiroshima. Despite painful history people of this city are wonderful. Anywhone visiting Japan should see Hiroshima.

I love Hiroshima.
I love Hiroshima. It is a ver walkable and livable city I especially love the area around the peace park. Beautifully maintained. River and trees are beautiful. Lots of great restaurants!
Love Miyajima
The open roof onsen is a must! It was sooo relaxing and on a cool night in October, the hot water felt just right and melted away all the stress and fatigue of carrying heavy luggage and all the walking.
The hotel feels fancier than the price implies. We were really impressed.
We left our luggage in the morning and when we checked in at night, it was already in our room. It was really so convenient and perfect and the views from the front desk on floor 13 are wonderful. Definitely got some good pictures overlooking Hiroshima.
The view from Grand Prince Hotel Hiroshima is stunningly beautiful. We enjoyed it from our room and the Sky Lounge, where we had breakfast during our stay at the hotel. The room is smaller than an average room if you have a couch set up for the third person (or kid) sleeping in the room--and frankly, quite uncomfortable. However, the view from our room makes it up. The breakfast selection is outstanding. If you are too lazy to go out for dinner, the buffet dinner at Sky Lounge also offers a marvelous selection of menus.
Location is brilliant for the Hiroshima train and bus station, which are both around the corner from the hotel, 5 mins away.
The onsen was fabulous! Staff were lovely and could speak a little English or would use their 'pocket talk' machines to help converse! Luggage receiving/forwarding worked a treat again. The breakfast in the Komeda coffee shop attached to the hotel was sufficient to start the day. Room was compact, as per alot of the Japanese hotels, but had everything you needed.
Fantastic location - surrounded by lots of food and shopping. Easy street car to/from the train station. Staff were really friendly and helpful. The room had excellent blockout blinds for the morning sun. We were lucky enough to stay during the Hiroshima Flower Festival and had a festival (multiple blocks) full of food and entertainment right outside the hotel for the weekend. It's a nice easy walk from the hotel to the subway to get to Miyajima, and also to peace park.
What a beautiful hotel. Located right on the station it was the perfect start to our short but sweet stay in Hiroshima. It was the only time in our 3 week trip that we booked into a luxury, Western style hotel but it was really nice to do that for one night (especially after an emotional afternoon at the A-Bomb Dome, Peace Park and museum). A really, really nice hotel with beautiful facilities and wonderful staff.
LOCATION AND MY OVER-ALL STAY! APA Hotel never fails to meet my expectations. Been staying at APA Hotels whether I'm in Tokyo, Fukuoka, Osaka and Nagoya during my trips and one thing that makes me go back and book their hotels is the location.
Their Hiroshima hotel is just beside the JR Hiroshima station which is a plus for me since I'm traveling with family (senior parents and 2 toddlers below 4 years old).
Great location near Peace Park and a lot of restaurants. Easy enough to get to from Hiroshima station. Staff were incredible, spoke good English and were willing to help us forward our luggage to the next city (and receive it early from the previous hotel). Great little coffee stand on the ground floor, a coin laundry available comfortable room overall. Shower & toilet were next level.
The Annex location is on the "quiet" side of town but the bar district is just a street away. The hotel is a little difficult to get to from JR Hiroshima station, so be prepared to do some walking if you will be frequenting the station. There are plenty of convenience stores nearby and the room was very large by Japanese standards.
My room was comfortable, the staff were incredibly friendly, and the amenities were exceptional! If and when I return to Hiroshima, I will try and stay at this hotel first.
It was also very convenient that a majority of the staff spoke some English. I was never embarrassed or nervous when I couldn't say something in Japanese.
Absolutely loved my stay! This hotel was the highlight of my three-week trip across Korea and Japan. The room was spacious, clean, and beautiful with an amazing river view. The staff were fantastic—super friendly and helpful—and the breakfast was delicious. If I ever return to Hiroshima, I'll definitely be staying here again.
The hotel was in a great location within walking distance to Hiroshima Station (~8 minutes from the South exit). The room was larger than I anticipated and had a lot of amenities (washer in room, large bathroom with big tub and nice shower) and the balcony was really nice, even though we didn't have great weather!
Quite new hotel in city centre of Hiroshima, close to shopping, restaurants, and short distance from JR station and sightseeing sites.
Room is small but has everything needed, staff is friendly. Nice to have laundry in hotel.
Breakfast is simple but meet all expectations (local food and continental breakfast).
Such an awesome hotel. Spacious (for Japan), clean and comfy. Loads of amenities (pyjamas, toothbrush, comb, razor, cotton buds, etc, etc) and an in-room washer/dryer. Walking distance to Hiroshima Station and Peace Memorial Park and near to restaurants. Great for our family of 4. Totally recommended.
Location is right at train station, just next door. We only stopped by for a nite at Hiroshima, so it was very convenient. The hotel room is a standard Japanese size hotel room, but not too small, nice and clean, modern.
The location was 5 minutes from Hiroshima Station. The stop for the trams is right around the corner. Take #6 to A Bomb Dome. The hotel is attached to a Lawson's, and there is a 7/11 across the street.
Superbly located hotel in Hiroshima. Very comfortably appointed for our family of four (two teens) with connecting rooms. Excellent value for money. We really enjoyed our time in Hiroshima.
Great location! Close to the night life in Hiroshima. Walking distance to Peace Park. Taxi stop by hotel. Pretty small room, but comfortable. Overall great hotel for great price!
Comfortable hotel. Very helpful and polite staff. There was an elevator car parking that we had never seen before. Excellent location for visiting Hiroshima.
