This was great! Clean, comfortable beds, nice view in all directions and good kitchen. I went outside the season, so it also was no que to go the bathroom/use the kitchen at this time.
Because of logistics related to my work travel, I ended up booking two different rooms for my two nights, but the staff had fixed this so I got both nights in the «best» room.
Located on the Westfjords, this holiday home features free WiFi, private parking and a patio. This double storey house is set on the historical Tangagata street of Ísafjörður.

It's a very lovely house. Warm and cosy. The kitchen is very well equipped. There's a bathtub, too!
The owner is very friendly and replies fast.
The room is spacious, and the view from the room is beautiful.
The idea base camp for time spent in the Westfjords region.
The idea base camp for time spent in the Westfjords region. If you have a rental car, you can drive anywhere else you'd like to see, but Ísafjörður has the most options for town activities. The location in the fjord is incredible. I would visit again.

This town is wonderful and quaint.
This town is wonderful and quaint. The setting is stunning, with mountains surrounding the entire town. The people there are very friendly, and it is easy to walk around. The streets have beautiful flower plantings, and there is a fun nughtclub where you can meet local townspeople. We highly recommend it!

Stayed two nights in this gem of a town.
Stayed two nights in this gem of a town. First night we camped and it was a fantastic campground. Second night was calling for snow so stayed in the hostel. Best Bonus grocery store we have seen with prices much less than anywhere else in Iceland.

Interesting in itself; however, you need a car to explore the area. Side roads, not too difficult, lead to many beautiful sights. I probably said "Wow" more in the few days in Westfjords than any other time.

The drive to Isafjorour we stopped at Dynjandi Waterfall...
The drive to Isafjorour we stopped at Dynjandi Waterfall called Thundering Waterfall. It is actually several waterfalls topped by a bridal veil large fall. Well worth the steep hike up. One of the most beautiful waterfall we visited in Iceland. The drive back toward Reykjavik was stunning along five fjords and many waterfalls. Glacier views. Lava fields. And mountains. So wanted to eat at Tjoruhusid. But needed a reservation and could not get in. Recommend making a reservation before you leave home. A perfect ending to our trip to the Westfjords.

Our location was in the center of the historic district,...
Our location was in the center of the historic district, which made it easy for walking to everything. I enjoyed the architecture of the colorful houses in the Old Town neighborhood, The Heritage Museum, and getting fresh seafood from Fiskbud Sjavarfangs, the market down by the harbor. My daughter took a boat tour to Hornstrandir Peninsula for a day, but the weather was not conducive for outdoor activities during our stay so that curtailed the activities that we were interested in doing. We had two delicious fish dinners at Husid and an amazing buffet dinner at Tjoruhusid, which is in an historic log building down by the Heritage Museum. You have to make reservations ahead and they have 2 seatings for dinner. I have never seen such a huge variety of delicious soup, seafood, salads and desserts. Isafjordur is a charming little historic town with so many outdoor activity choices for all ages, fun shopping for handcrafted items and great fresh seafood.
The owner was extremely kind, helpful, and accommodating. He helped us find a dinner restaurant at 9:00 pm, book the airport shuttle, and with basically anything else we needed! The room was large, clean, and very comfortable. Also, quiet! There was a fridge and microwave in the room, as well as supplies for making tea/coffee. Great location, easy to walk into downtown Isafjordur, close to gas station and supermarket. Highly recommended.
Great location within walking distance of most of Isafjodur. In an area of characterful old houses. Not at all touristy (yet). The house is old, and the interior staircase is steep and narrow, very typical of places in Iceland. We loved the area and the historic nature of the house. Completely comfortable and well-outfitted, with private garden a plus. Free parking in front.
Very modern, minimalist and practical apartment near downtown Isafjordur; complete with a washer for clothes, which at this point in the trip was badly needed. This little gem is hidden in one of the urban neighborhoods near the city center where you can shop, eat and sight see one of the most beautiful cities in the Westfjords of Iceland.
Very good location in the center of the town, so easy to get everywhere. Hotel is on several floors, each having its own small kitchen/rest room and bathroom, so there is some sense of privacy when not many tourists. Rooms are clean but a bit small. WiFi working without problems. Nice views from the window on surrounding mountains.
A romantic cabin modernly furnished in the old town. It was sparkling clean, beds were very comfortable and the kitchen was well equipped and of good size. The location was perfect - close to a wonderful bakery, restaurants and stores. The only downside was the bathroom which was not comfortable. All in all we recommend this place
Perfect location. Walk to town, beach, shopping, bakery, restaurants, kayaking. Quiet neighborhood, lovely old home with very helpful owners. Great value. Highly recommend. It says"apartment," but is actually a 3 floor duplex with washer AND dryer in basement. Full sized fridge.
I originally booked a guesthouse room but was upgraded to a hotel room with a private bath. It is a great location near the city center. The breakfast buffet was very nice. The staff were friendly and helped me get to the airport shuttle on time.
The Hotel Owner and Karina were exceptional.
I have to say I stayed 4 nights and it was amazing .
The room was so comfortable Breakfast was excellent with fresh Homemade Bread daily.
The Bed was new and so Comfortable I slept like a log.
Central location - walkable to restaurants, bakeries, bookstores, and the water on both sides. Breakfast was good and in a nice dining room. Note there are two buildings. Rooms in older building have no view. Rooms are large and spartan.
Good location, grocery store nearby, gotta take keys from the hotel. Small..ish dorms but good. Big kitchen and living space. Just bring your sleeping bag. Perfect place to stay to explore Isafjordur, pre or post Hornstrandir.
Good basic hostel in Isafjordur, with a private room and comfortable beds, bathroom with good shower, and a kitchen with equipment to prepare your own food and enough place to sit. Friendly staff at Hotel Isafjordur.
The location is great and the apartment is very nice and has fun decoration inside.
Had bikes to use for free so we could bike around town. Perfect stay when visiting Ísafjörður.
Apartment had plenty of room and was walking distance to many sites. Owners graciously provided insight into hundreds of years of Icelandic culture and history.
