Location was in a nice quiet, suburb in south Dublin. Frequent bus service into Dublin centre only 4 min walk from guesthouse. Or you could walk to centre in about 50 min. Several restaurants nearby.Self serve breakfast, mainly cereals, bread and fruit, but also eggs and misc stuff in the fridge. Microwave, stove and fridge. Coffee and tea. This was one of the few hotels in Ireland where we had a King size bed - such a treat! And AC that actually made the room cool enough for us to sleep comfortably. We were a little nervous being so close to the city center and seeing ear plugs in the bathroom, but we both slept quite well - no loud noises waking us up and no need for the ear plugs. We had to leave early for the airport in the morning and I went down to get tea and coffee to go. The staff was extremely helpful and didn't charge us for it.

The room was nothing like what I seen on website, very small dated and noisy with the boiler constantly going through out the night felt like it was in the bed with us. Staff had no good communication when we arrived. The photos did not match the room that I was given very over priced for what we got. Felt ripped off. The bed wasn't comfy

We stayed at hotel at the start and end of our trip. The hotel was ideally located to catch the train, tram and bus. It also provided ready access to Trinity College, St Patrick’s Cathedral and the Guinness Storehouse. More importantly the hotel was so comfortable with a wonderful breakfast and super nice & helpful staff especially the concierge! We definitely will stay at the hotel in the future if the opportunity arises!

I liked that the village was very walkable and I could even walk to and from Dublin City Centre from there ( a long walk if you are not a frequent walker). Rathgar itself had a lovely bookstore, an awesome antiques shop, conveniences and welcoming pubs. I recommend Brady's (a 10 minute walk from my guesthouse), and The 108, which was a 5 minute walk for me. Both these pubs had very good food and atmosphere.

Will we stay again?
Will we stay again? Probably but maybe only for 1-2 nights maximum, and not 5.
Lets face it , dublin is expensive. You cant ask for 5star, yet it was disasspointing to not have the room cleaned half the time and that you had to ask for room cleaning ( something you only know once you are in the room ).
There is no staff, it is unmanned; there is a sink in the room not in the toilet; the room is small . This we knew beforehand , so zero complaints there.
The TV, only a few local channels worked, but we werent there to watch tv anyway.
The ammenities were good and fair and the bed was good. Staff over the phone was helpful.

Away from hustle & bustle of Dublin City centre.
Away from hustle & bustle of Dublin City centre. Good local cafes, bars, restaurants & shops + short walk or bus to Terenure or Rathmines for more choice.
City centre is only quick bus journey, (use a leep card to save money) away for tourist destinations & night life.

Totally unorganized. They sent me my codes after I left. I also received an email that I was never there. The room was not clean and the location is far from downtown. I would not recommend this place

Excellent value for money, clean and comfortable and well...
Excellent value for money, clean and comfortable and well located. A few minor issues, the numbers on the press pad on the front door were difficult to see, there was stale water in the kettle and the coffee machine and there was not enough towels. Parking was on a first come basis butI was too late to get it. All in all, this was a very pleasant experience and I would have no hesitation reccomding no 9 as a good place to stay
The location is within easy walking distance of busses to Dublin City Center. A supermarket, cafe, deli and pharmacy are also nearby. The location is quiet. It is a residential street but near to the village and a bus ride to downtown. The breakfast is not a full meal, yet, access to a small kitchenette that is actually well stocked with basics was all that was needed for a quick bite in the morning. The Fat Cat Cafe, a short walk away, is a great place for breakfast.
The room, spotted-clean, is super cosy with all the necessities and Marie is the kindest, she helped us too with our taxi on the way back to the airport.
The area is absolutely stunning, with shops and supermarkets close by. The position too is pretty convenient, with bus stops to the centre near.
Definitely, I will book again at St. Aiden's Guesthouse if I'll travel to Dublin again! Thank you!
The room was quiet, comfortable and clean and good value for money. The location was handy to Terenure and Rathgar and bus stop to the city centre. It was nice to have coffee and tea-making facilities and a fridge - though there was a half-drunk bottle of wine left in it from previous guest (I hated having to pour it out). Shower pressure was good with plenty of hot water.
It was very clean and location was amazing! A minute walk from beautiful deli cafe and only a few miles away from Guinness storehouse etc. we arrived quite late for check in and couldn’t access our room and we just called the number given to us and they sorted all out. Plus on-site parking
Alan made us feel very welcome and had thought of everything to settle us in . Very good information on local restaurants, supermarkets and an easy bus ride into the centre of Dublin. Rathgar is a very safe and lovely suburb and very quiet. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this place.
Very clean and comfortable room with a modern shower room. The location was as expected when the booking was made. Access to the property and the room was by PIN Code and no staff were present at the hotel, making for a COVID-19 secure stay
check in excellent .... small kitchen stocked with a cereal and breads and fruit tea and coffee, a beautiful old guest house in
a gorgeous neighborhood. It was nice to also use the ground floor living room looking on to the front garden.
Warm hospitality and lots of valuable shared services at the guest house. Room was right size for our family.
Lovely neighbourhood with good options for food and coffee.
There was good communication between the hotel and me. The room was nice and comfortable. The location was nice and in easy walking distance of a grocery and food.
Very clean, warm, very friendly and helpful staff, close to bus station, bars and grocery stores. Very good price compared to similar properties in Dublin.
